I am very proud to share with you some exciting running news!!!
I know what you are thinking….and…..NO I did not run another marathon this weeked…..3 in a row is plenty enough for me. Ok I will admit I did race BUT it was an 8K, much faster recovery time.
I am the featured writer in the Washington Running Report’s Women’s Perspective column in the April/May issue. The article is about my first race back post baby #3.
Writing an article is a totally different animal than blogging. When I blog I sort of just let my mind spill out on to my computer screen. It took time to write this article. Lots of time. I am very proud of this article because of how long it took. The process of putting my thoughts on paper is and was cathartic.
At this point in my life I will admit that I am chasing PR’s but at the end of the day, they do not really matter. Sure I’d love to go under 41:00 in the 10K this year[my first was a 1:06], possibly break 3:20 in the marathon[my first was a 4:20] but if I don’t — I have three wonderful kids, who all think the world of me — and that my friends is what really matters.
