I’m a hand-me-down type of girl.  I like vintage items.  I love the stories behind material items that had a life before me.
I love books. Hardbacks.

My husband got a new laptop computer on black Friday so that meant our old desktop got moved up to ‘my corner’ in our bedroom.  The desk is one he had built for himself this summer, but ended up being too large.  It became mine.  The mirror I picked up at a yard sale while pregnant with Chloe.

I love that my space came together haphazardly, with no vision in mind, yet came out perfectly.

When you read my blog, this is where I sat typing it.  It’s a little slice of heaven for me – my favorite corner in the house.

8 miles yesterday with the running club. 8:50, 8:32, 8:23, 8:40, 9:00, 8:32, 8:54, 8:35.  27 miles for the week.  4 days of running.

Building back slowly so I won’t get injured.  Goal for Boston, a sub 4 hour finish, with the back up goal of re-qualifying.  Looking forward to seeing what my body will give me.

LOve love love your space! I love books too. And vintage stuff. :) Your run yesterday looks very similar to mine…we could have been running it together from the looks of your splits. Good luck with your goals! Excited to see your journey. And love that get to see your little corner in your house.

  4. That nook would be a little piece of heaven for me! I love it. I also love vintage/used items far more than new ones. Besides, it's a lot greener.

    Happy new year! :)

  5. That looks great!! You are also doing amazing, very smart to build up slowly!! I run too fast last week and now im sitting with a knee pain… Not nice…

  6. Oh I love your little "slice of heaven!" Looks like a great little space to sit down, and focus on something other than the kids! (or at least try to..)

I'm so jealous! I would love to have a little corner like that for my computer in my bedroom. Not enough room in there, though. Love it, Dorothy!
