I’ve been doing more doing this week instead of writing about what I do.

I’ve found a way to fit in a little bit of reading each day and still manage to run and keep the house semi clean.

Colton is at a fun age – walking everywhere and getting in to trouble every five minutes. I love when your babies start to grow and they become more like little people than little monkeys that cling to you and need you for everything. His new found independence has been exciting. I love seeing him experience new things and get happy over mundane activities.

I’ve had a pretty good week running wise, the only blah day was yesterday when I took a rest day. I feel off on rest days. I know I need them to let my body adapt but they make me feel tired and lethargic. I slept 10 hours the night before and then couldn’t even make it through the day with out a 30 minute nap darn you Gilbert’s Syndrome [note: I never get to nap so this was extra awesome].

Here are some things that made me happy this week……

They remind me that happiness is not a destination I need to arrive at……simply by finding joy in the little things that happen daily it is something I feel.

    They always make me smile.
    Love the comforter.
    Love the little things.

    Happy Friday!

  2. I love this post. You had an awesome week. Your new bedspread/pillows is beautiful. I want to come over just so I can sleep in that beautiful, big bed. Miss you! xo

Miss you too! I think of you on every long run when I am eating my margarita shot bloks – they really should make them spiked 😉

Happy Friday EMZ – I think of you every time I am doing super long treadmill runs. When I did 22 last weekend I thought – this is nothing to EMZ 😉

  5. I think its frigin awesome that your treadmill is like NEXT to your bed. NO EXCUSES. Happy Friday! xo, gchat me soon!

  6. And my husband thinks I’m crazy in that I want a treadmill next to my side of the bed. *sigh*

Love this post, and that you’re having amazing days – you needed that :)

  7. Way to use that nap time well! I can’t wait until I have a treadmill in my house so I can do that! Cleaning my 3-year-old’s room and organizing his toys made me happy this week. Also tapering for my race tomorrow was a nice break from the regular routine!

  8. Love your new quilt and pillows! I like the idea of a nice reading corner as well.
What made me happy this week was meeting with one of my friends that I haven’t got to hang out with in 6 months :)

Awww, love the picture of the family. Nice to see everyone!

  10. Great post! Love the quote above your bed!!

Do you use slight incline to adjust for the fact that treadmill running is easier than the road? I was told to use a 1% incline and I’m wondering if it was good advice or not.

I love a good comment!
