There has been some house keeping going on at Mile Posts for the past couple of weeks. You may have noticed, and still will, some dead links, archives that were missing [they are back up!] and other such annoying problems.

I’ve been using blogger for years, not because I researched who I should start my blog with but because all of my friends blogs were on blogspot and I didn’t know any better. Mile Posts has grown by leaps and bounds in the past couple of months and blogger can no support what I want to do.

For one – I want to be able to respond back directly to you with the better comment response in wordpress. I want to be able to take advantage of other added features that I think you will like more. I want this website to be a tool for you that you can use to find information on running, coaching, running during pregnancy, stroller running, and more. I want this website to be as much about me as it is about you!

I now see why people pay others to do the move and transfer everything because it takes a LONG time and can get tedious. In the next couple of weeks I hope to have EVERYTHING functioning properly. If you see something that’s broken and you want it fixed – feel free to shoot me an email.

In the mean time I hope this does not deter you from coming back to Mile Posts – the content is there and I will keep blogging while everything transitions!

xoxo Dorothy

  1. Girl you are taking on a huge challenge! I did this a few years ago and it was such a nuisance. Hang in there. Wish I could swing by with Starbucks and help you out!!

  5. I feel your pain! Your blog looks fantastic and the added functionality will be worth the growing pains…kinda like running!

  6. Moving to WordPress was definitely a good move (even if it has caused your blogs to flood my Google Reader this week. :) )

Oh my goodness David! So sorry about the flood. I’m trying to figure everything out. Still have lost most people that signed up via google reader when my blog used to have the blogspot in the URl. Any advice for me? Moving to wordpress has been soooo much better already – a total hassle, but worth it!

I love a good comment!
