In an effort to inspire runners to honor and support the people most affected by the tragic events that occurred in Boston on April 15, Saucony has created the #BostonStrong Lace Medallion to be offered as a fundraiser for The One Fund Boston. The two-sided medallion features the viral hashtag and unity motto #BostonStrong on one side and a custom-designed, laced-up heart icon on the other.

Runners can purchase the #BostonStrong Lace Medallion for five dollars per pair. For every pair of medallions purchased, Saucony will donate 100% of sales to The One Fund Boston, established by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino to help the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

I just ordered mine! If you would like to purchase one you can pre-order it at saucony.com now. Medallions will be available to ship within three to four weeks.

You can also go directly to onefundboston.org to make a donation.

    Thanks

  5. Love it! just ordered mine too

  6. Love these! I’ll be pre-ordering a set and maybe a couple sets for friends, and posting this information on my blog and/or Twitter. I hope that’s ok!

  7. Great that you are featuring these! I love that folks like Saucony and Adidas are running these promos with 100% going to help out … and I hate where I have seen marginally Boston/Marathon companies trying to leverage the publicity with non-Boston products where you get a discount and they give money ti the One Fund. Sure money is good, but hate people leeching on tragic events.

  8. Thanks for sharing this! I’ll pass it on to my running group!

  9. These are fantastic — thanks for sharing!

  10. Thank you for helping to spread the word Debbie!!

  11. I 100% agree with you. I had numerous emails from companies asking me to promote their discount on a product they already sell saying a percentage of the profits would go to The One Fund. Maybe they had good intentions or maybe not. I felt like they were using this as a publicity thing. This is exactly why I wrote one short post on Boston just to say a little bit about how I feel but have mostly kept my feelings to myself. I do not want to make money off a tragic event…..again I’ll step off my soap box now :)

  12. Thanks for helping spread the word!!!

  13. Kelley says:

How do I go about ordering them? I can’t find any more information other than your post!

  14. Great initiative, will definitely support!

  15. Love this!! I have been looking for a suttle way to show my support and this is it. I posted it on my blog as well, and am hoping to help spread the word! What a wonderful cause. Thanks Dorothy!

  16. Travel inland through the beautiful vineyards and wineries.
Spend the next morning of your New Zealand holidays in Napier
and then travel southwards through Hastings. By definition
resources are the productive assets of the pocket and had

I love a good comment!
