Stranger Than Fiction – About 10 minutes into this movie my husband fell asleep – he woke up an hour later and asked if it was good – I said without thinking – “it’s strange”
Midway through a run the other day I realized that blogging has made running feel like MY life is being narrated. When running my thoughts are still random and all over the place but I try to compose them into a story – and then try to remember it all so I can type it up later. It actually has helped keep my mind occupied on the days when running becomes a bit monotonous.
Moments after I felt like Will Ferrell – BIG FAT RAINE drops started falling on my head. It was very hot and still sunny – the rain was evaporating fast – it really appeared as if a rain cloud was directly over just me.
This morning after getting 8 hours of sleep Miles decided it was time for me to get up. I had gotten 10 hours the night before and again not felt rested. For some reason this morning I feel great. Maybe Eric’s right? I get too much sleep? Rather than not enough? Anyways Miles and I waited around for Chloe to wake up and were finally ready 2 hours later to head out the door. Literally as I am closing the garage it started to rain. The rain didn’t stop us – in fact it made for a fun run! (Though I am thinking that I should get the Bob Ironman Weather Shield for future rainy runs)
Running in the rain when it’s warm out is beyond refreshing. The kids seemed to enjoy the run as much as I did – though I think they missed the playing at the park part at the end. We had fun singing Eric and Chloe’s new made up song “Raine drops keep falling on my head – yes – yes”
Why am I hanging around in the rain out here…….
