The hunt is on.

National Marathon is looking for 6 to 10 runners who want to be an integral part of the 2011 race by serving as Run Ambassadors.

You need not be fast.

HOWEVER…..

You MUST have a passion for the sport of running and want to spread that love with anyone and everyone you meet!

Applicants must be willing to learn the details of the National Marathon, 1/2 Marathon, 1/2 Marathon Relay and all other RunDC events for 2011.

Ambassadors will participate in race expos, be a resource for runners on runDC events, visit and assist with training groups, volunteer at community based activities, visit local running stores, gyms, and run clubs, wear Run DC branded items at races, and use various social media tools to track their experiences.

Additionally, Ambassadors will participate in a monthly communication meeting with National Marathon staff!

Perks include but are not limited to: runDC branded gear, free travel and expenses to expos, opportunities for complimentary entries into various races, a complimentary entry into the National Marathon, VIP Credentials for runDC races, earned items from our sponsors and an annual lunch with local run experts.

Need I say more?!?!  Don’t miss out on this excellent opportunity.

Do you have to live in DC? Because it sounds like a blast and a half but I am on the other coast! Would LOVE it though…

That almost makes me want to move back to Virginia… what an amazing opportunity… probably a little difficult to do, though, from Texas.

  3. Katie says:

I am excited to learn more! I am already registered for the National Marathon.

  4. Amanda@runninghood says:

Wow, too bad I'm all the way over here on the west coast. I have the same question as Momma K and her Krew
