  8. My son’s name is Boston. :) He was born exactly nine months to the day after I ran my first Boston marathon. (He was 3 weeks early) Loved the name before I ran the marathon though.

    we talked about the name chase a bunch when i was pregnant with will. i love it. robert was not a fan though!
    so, funny story – we did not name baby Gus thinking his name would have any relation to running – at.all. But friends have told me that when they type his name in a text message to me, their iphone auto-corrects it to GUs. the energy gels! totally makes me laugh!

  32. The name is not important but rather the journey to success is. So yes choose a name if you want once you aware that it has has no bearing on your success.

  37. Choosing a babies name based on famous runner doe not make your baby a runner when they growth up, but rather careful nutruring intothe sport.

  38. As a runner I can’t think of a good reasom for choosing the name for my baby after a famous runner just to pay homage. I guess each to his own.
