1. a. April is my most favorite month of the year for a variety of reasons, one of which includes the fact that it’s my birthday month.
1. b. I do share the month with some pretty amazing company though, which makes the month all that much better. My Great Grandmother’s birthday, the woman who I am named after was born on the 1st. My best friend and godmother of my daughter, Ashley, celebrated hers on the 2nd. My grandfather is celebrating his 82nd birthday today, followed by my dads wife tomorrow. My wonderful and amazing friend Jess who blogs at Pace of Me, will be celebrating her birthday on the 10th by running her first race post baby #3. I’m up on Monday the 11th, with an extra special birthday because it will be 4/11/11! I share my birthday with my old college friend Keyla, as well as my cousin Elizabeth who is 1 year older than me. On the 12th my dear cousin Andrew will be celebrating his and not long after on the 17th my cousin Jim will be celebrating his. While I’m running the Boston Marathon on the 18th my brother in law Danny will be celebrating as well as my friend Shannon’s daughter Sienna, who also happens to be one of Chloe’s good friends. Miles will be turning 3 on the 24th, which also happens to be Easter. His buddy Cade will be turning 4 on the 28th and I think that rounds out the month. I’m sure I forgot tons of people because I feel like I know someone who has a birthday every day this month. Kudos to you if you made it to the end of this list – my point is APRIL is a GREAT month filled with lots of life celebrations of some pretty cool people.

1. c. If you like make-up and beauty products, you should sign up for Sephora’s FREE Beauty Insider program. Each year on your birthday you get an awesome free gift! This year it’s this fun full size body wash from Philosophy. Last year it was three lip glosses, which I still use all the time.

2. a. My last hard, speed wise, workout before National Marathon was a tempo run with 3 miles at a tempo pace of 6:40. This was more tempo miles than I was able to run before B & A Marathon, my pr marathon. My first hard, speed wise, workout post National Marathon was yesterday. I ran a tempo with 2 miles at a tempo pace of 6:18. I was totally overheated and wanted to puke from being tired and hot, but I finished the 5 mile workout anyways. HEAR ME ROAR BOSTON!

2. b. National Marathon was my 14th marathon and last as a 28 year old. Boston Marathon will be my 15th marathon, my 1st as a 29 year old!

3. a. My go-to healthy and quick snack lately has been walnuts and dried papaya. I take half a walnut and a piece or two of the papaya and eat them together. I don’t much care for the taste of the papaya alone, but mixed together with the walnuts it’s beyond delicious. Eating just 8 to 9 walnuts halves can help curb your appetite and help you not binge before your next meal. The dried papaya has enzymes that aid in digestion of protein as well as many other nutritional benefits. YUM.

3. b. I am absolutely and completely obsessed with Luna White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Bars. They taste like a delicious cookie to me and are low glycemic. This makes them the perfect under 200 calories after dinner treat, instead of stuffing my face with brownies, which I have been known to do more than I care to admit.
