It seems I wait all year for Christmas and then it’s over before I know it. The decorations around the house have been put away but I can’t seem to let go of the tree yet. Hubby brought up the boxes this morning so I think that is his hint that it’s time, but I am thinking I’m going to steal one more tree lit night and pretend that the holiday season is not over just yet….

With the end of the holiday season marathon training begins. I had planned to target Boston Marathon as my target marathon but just couldn’t stop my marathon itch to run one sooner. I’m excited to say that I will be returning to B&A Trail Marathon in March to test out my fitness and hopefully have a huge PR over my previous winning time!

Are you happy the holidays are over? Or do you feel a little bit sad that it has already come and gone? Are you ready for spring marathon season to begin?

  1. I’m going to run the half marathon at the B&A!!!! I’m excited because I do most of my long runs on the B&A trail, so it’ll be nice to know almost every step of the run.

  2. This year was totally different – it was our first time going ‘back home’ for Christmas, so it was MUCH anticipated. Granted, we had an amazing time, but we’re also happy to be home and back in the swing of things.

I can’t wait to see how you do in March!!! I’ll be living vicariously through you 😉

  3. I am sad Christmas season is over but I still have my tree up, hehe, my hubby and I like to keep it up till the middle of Jan since we both enjoy the ambiance of a lit Christmas tree. I am super excited for spring marathon season to start, whoo hoo!!

  4. We took down our tree today and it was kind sad as my son said, “The tree looks so sad.” He wasn’t sad though, and knowing his best Christmases are yet to come it doesn’t make it so bad.

  5. As much as I love the holidays – relaxing and rejuvenating – I am always happy to get back into a routine. My Boston training started yesterday! This is going to be an awesome Spring.
