Day 4 food was pretty much the exact same as the previous 3 days.

  • Roasted Sweet Potatoes
  • Roasted Brussels Sprouts
  • Salad Mix
  • Roasted Beets
  • Basmati Brown Rice
  • Beef

I didn’t workout or run on Sunday. I hung around most of the day, napped and recovered from staying out too late the night before.

I still felt better than I would normally and felt happy all day even though I was crazy tired. My cravings for caffeine are starting to go away, it’s mostly that I crave the habit of having something warm or ice cold to drink. I don’t think I drank enough water on Sunday but I’m back in to the swing of things now.

I’m realizing that I really have to think ahead for meals. I can’t just reach in to the fridge and grab anything I happen to want.

I roasted beets successfully for the first time! I was getting tired of eating them raw and juiced – roasted is a NICE change. I also roasted the sweet potatoes rather than microwaving them. For someone who can cook – this is a no brainer – but these are baby steps for me in the right direction.

If someone were to ask me if I can cook – I would say no. I use to say I have no desire to learn, but I think that’s changing. The more foods I make that actually taste good and do not hurt my stomach the more I think that I can make foods that taste good and don’t hurt my stomach. Everything in my life is always a cycle. I didn’t want to cook because I felt like everything I made turned out gross or I saw all the ingredients that went in to it and I wouldn’t want to eat it. Either way I like this and I hope cooking becomes my new normal.

I just have to say I am following with interest … my wife has loads of food allergies (apples since forever, intolerance to pears, peaches, kiwi, etc), problems with nuts, peanuts/legumes, coconuts, and some issues with most tree or plant based stuff …and this week penicillin joined the fun! So … yeah, challenging for me as someone who does most of the cooking and is trying to explore more natural dietary options :)

  4. I love reading this – I thought I was the only one! I will cook things but then I don’t want to eat it. I have found that the only things I actually want to eat after making them are vegetables – fresh vegetables without a lot of processed add ons to flavor them. I’m so happy for you that you’re finding out what works for you!
