I have a question for you…..
Do you take or train with walk breaks? If so, what do you do? Thanks!
I don’t. When I first started running I would run too fast, then be tired and have to walk. After I had my daughter I was determined to break this habit so I slowed down the pace and kept running. Occasionally if I am running with friends I will stop when they stop, but if I am alone I will not stop at all. I think the run/walk method can work but I think once you start training for a time goal, walking should be eliminated as much as possible. Of course there are exceptions to this….. One of the ways I dropped my marathon time from a 4:20 to a 3:36 was by walking less in training, which means I walked less during the race. Now when I race marathons, I don’t stop, no matter what. Hope this helps!!
