“But if I quit, how can I teach them not to quit?” I love this. So very much…and it’s exactly what I want to teach my girls. Loved your video, Dorothy, and I’m wishing you the best for Boston on Monday!!

First of all you are too cute for words! Secondly I love this video and how inspiring you are, you give me hope that once I have my first babe that running will continue on and great things will come. And thirdly, love the new blog look

So GREAT!!!! Love this and your story! I. too couldn’t run in HS (and yet was on the track team, go figure). I ran sprints and on the days we had to run “long” (3 miles) I would go out, sit in the woods for a while and then come back and lie about completing the race! Ha!! My how things have changed!

Absolutely Awesome!!! I like how you said every mile pushing the stroller you want to quit but you want to set an example for your kids of what strong is, I FEEL the same way!! Everytime I run with the stroller I think “WHY am I doing this?!” But I want to be an example for my daughter and that’s why I keep going!! Dorothy you are such an inspiration!! Thank You!

I’m a follower of your blog and thought it was SO COOL to get a glimpse of you more up close and to hear your voice! You’re too cute!! I’m new to the blog world and to be honest felt intimidated reading about other runners who were so much faster than me that I’d doubt myself. YOUR words/advice help me to focus on ME and remind myself to RUN MY OWN RACE. Thank you! Would still love for you to design a running plan for me in the near future. Enjoy that run on Monday!!

I’ve been reading your blog for a few months now, but this is my first time commenting. What an inspirational video! I am a mom of two and training right now for my first half marathon. I often think of you on my long runs and how you’ve pushed a stroller for 20 miles or run 20 miles on a treadmill and I think if she could do that, I can certainly make it through my 10 miles alone outside! You are setting such a wonderful example for your kids and your motivate every runner who reads your blog. I love how you admit that running can be hard and that sometimes you are tired or feeling sick but you do it anyways. No excuses!!! Good luck in Boston! And I love the blog re-design.

Dorothy, you’re an inspiration!! The video was awesome! I’m constantly telling my two year old to not quit and to get back up! Tears ran down my cheeks when you said, “how can I teach them not to quit if I quit” (hope I got that all right). So incredibly true!!! Enjoy this beautiful season in life!

Awesome video…Awesome job in Boston..although i can’t see any footage being in Canada I have tracked you!! You Rock…also thanks for being a great inspiration to ALL runners…Not just great ones, fast ones, etc. I’m a newbie and training for my first half in October and I love reading your blog. (I also just ran my very first race (5k)..and now me and my husband are totally hooked!!
P.s….you should put “i run this body” on a tech shirt…I’d buy one to rock out during my training runs!!!!
Thank you for saying pushing that stroller is hard because it is hard. But I must also say thank you for the inspiration to keep doing it.

I have been reading your blog for over a year now and i finally just want to take a moment to tell you how much you inspire me! Your story earlier on in your life is much like mine and I see that you do what you set your mind to now, you show your kids THEY can do things because YOU do them. Thank you so much for this blog of yours and your constant encouragement!!
