Behold my A3′s have finally arrived!!!
I finally feel like I have stepped over into the realm of racing flats. I always sort of felt these were reserved for skinny fast people. That people like me could just loose a few pounds or even less than a pound to make up for the heaviness of my shoes. However I feel like I’m at a point where I no longer want to loose any weight. I just want to get stronger/faster/fitter. So the weight of my shoe has suddenly become important/interesting to me. The A3′s are only 5.6 oz vs the 10 oz’s of my Saucony Ride’s. I’m wondering if they will help me or hurt me…..
Tomorrow I’ll be racing or possibly just running the Veterans Day 10K with Capital Area Runners. I’m excited about this race because it’s supposed to be flat and fast. I’ll be dreaming of 6′s tonight and hoping that my body gives me some.
Thursday I went out for a easy run and ended up getting lost in thought and running 9 miles – though most of them were very easy – I started out at a 10:15 pace! Certainly did not feel like I was running 10:15 but that’s what my body gave me so I took it and ran with it – literally. Hence why I say I’m not sure if my body will want to race tomorrow or just go out for a run.
